GHRI Senior Investigator Jennifer Nelson, PhD, is in Washington, DC today for a special roundtable hosted by America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the national trade association representing the health insurance industry. Titled “From Personalized Medicine to Population Health—Maximizing the Value of Data,” the roundtable brings together invited representatives from seven health plans and experts from federal and private institutions to discuss how health plans use data and analytics to improve population health. Dr. Nelson is moderating a session on the role of big data in moving toward personalized medicine.
