Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) research is led by our faculty of investigators, collaborative scientists, and biostatisticians. Our faculty members have graduate training and experience in medicine, psychology, epidemiology, biostatistics, economics, anthropology, and other relevant disciplines. Nationally recognized for rigorous and innovative methods, our researchers typically work in interdisciplinary teams, bringing new perspectives to challenging questions.
Most of our faculty members have secondary appointments at the University of Washington, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, or other academic institutions, contributing to teaching and research there. They also help train tomorrow’s scientific leaders, including postdoctoral fellows and UW students.
We are also proud to collaborate regularly with many affiliate investigators whose primary appointment is at other institutions.
