PROJECT SUMMARY

A team of KP researchers and operational leaders are using data from KP Colorado’s Medicare Total Health Assessment (MTHA), a standardized survey that is given to Medicare members, to explore the relationship between changes in loneliness and changes in self-reported health and utilization of care. Preliminary results found that improvements in loneliness were associated with subsequent improvements in self-reported health, such as depression.
