Between May 2021 and August 2022, the Michigan Sustained Patient Centered Alcohol Related Care (Michigan-SPARC) initiative was introduced in primary care practices across the state of Michigan. Through this program, the SPARC implementation program was joined with Altarum’s quality improvement program to provide continuing medical education (CME, Part 1 & Part 2) and maintenance of certification (MOC), and to prepare providers to meet quality improvement targets with electronic health record (EHR) technical support. Providers received instruction on recognizing and treating unhealthy alcohol use in two one-hour CME programs, and practice facilitators helped practices integrate the program into their practice.
Land Acknowledgment
Our Seattle offices sit on the occupied land of the Duwamish and by the shared waters of the Coast Salish people, who have been here thousands of years and remain. Learn about practicing land acknowledgment.
