Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) Assistant Investigator Julie Angerhofer Richards, PhD, MPH, received the Researcher of the Year award from the Puget Sound Business Journal. The publication’s Health Care Leadership Awards honor innovative and influential thinkers in the Puget Sound area whose leadership has had a lasting impact. Awardees will be recognized in a special report in the Dec. 8 issue of the PSBJ and at a reception on Dec. 7.
KPWHRI Assistant Biostatistics Investigator Maricela Cruz, PhD, presented at a conference from the American Statistical Association in October in Bellevue, Washington. The conference theme was Women in Statistics and Data Science. Cruz spoke at a panel on perspectives and experiences in becoming a successful data scientist.
